As a shared development with Mazda's "3" and Volvo's S40/V50, the Ford Focus comes with a lot of street credibility. Arriving here in 2005, the current LT series is a dynamic, well built and roomy small car offered in sedan and five-door hatchback form, as well as a metal-roofed cabrio. Engines include a 107kW 2.0-litre DOHC four-cylinder, a 166kW 2.5-litre Volvo five-cylinder turbo and a 100kW 2.0-litre turbodiesel, with transmissions including five and six-speed manuals and a four-speed auto. All models from base CL sedan and hatch get dual airbags, ABS brakes, trip computer and air-conditioning.
